Appare Jipangu! cover Watase-sensei's newest manga series. Currently there is only 1 Volume.
"Appare" means "Bravo", "Zipangu" (Jipangu) is the name (meaning "land of gold") that Marco Polo gave to Japan.

Yusura was left underneath a cherry tree as a baby with the Kongoumaru by her side. 15 years later she's become the Hikeshiya (the extinguisher of sorrow) by using the Kongoumaru which turn's blue as it absorbs people's sorrows then sends it back to the person guilty of causing the sorrow.

Be sure to heed the following warning found at the beginning of the manga:
"This book is not cold medicine. If it is taken by mistake please rinse with water immediately and consult a doctor. When using, please read the explanatory note on handling and use correctly. It will be the cause of accidents."

    When she was a baby she was found by a pharmacist and his wife underneath a cherry tree with the Kongoumaru by her side. They raised her as their only daughter. Now, 15 years later she talks, acts, and dresses like a boy. Using the Kongoumaru she becomes the Hikeshiya - the extinguisher of sorrow.

    Samon
    Samon
    The son of a Daimyo and a prostitute. The Daimyo learned of Samon's existence after his 2 sons died and now Samon is the next in line to be the Daimyo of Sagami. Can't see without his glasses.

    Minekichi
    Minekichi
    Forever hanging out with Yusura and her family. Likes using the gadgets made by Yusura's father and playing with Kotsukichi and Ogai.

    Kazanosuke
    Kazanosuke
    Was a member of the Koura ninja group. He met Yusura and the others when he tripped over Yusura while chasing after his best friend, Hanji, who he was sent to kill for leaving the group. Kazanosuke later leaves the group and becomes Samon's bodyguard.

    Takano
    Takano
    Was a carrier hawk for the Koura ninja group. Also a talented artist. Spends most of his time on top of Minekichi's head.

    Kotsukichi & Ogai
    Kotsukichi & Ogai
    Skeleton puppets. When will their love for each other at long last be realized?...
